The BBC have struck contemporary drama gold with this one. Mark Gatiss is behind it – writer/producer, with Steven Moffat. Good combo.
(Excuse the guff code, BBC at it’s new tech onine best…)
2/3 episodes in so far and loving it. Apparently there was a pilot which hasn’t been shown…
I like both the leads; Martin Freeman I recall from various roles over the last decade (The Office aside), including Shaun of the Dead and Love Actually, along with his Motown segment for The Culture Show last year.
Benedict Cumberbatch hadn’t been on my radar until the 2008 thriller The Last Enemy on BBC1. He’s perfect as the ‘sociopathic’ Holmes.
The Last EnemyBenedict Cumberbatch hadn’;t been on my radar until 2008 when I saw him lead The Last Enemy, which was on over five conesquetive nights and gripping.
