Not much cop without the friggin’ goggles Channel 4!
OK. So Channel 4 are having a 3D week this week coming (from Monday 16th November 2009). Lovely. Nice to see Channel 4 are still fulfilling their remit, to;
… foster the new and experimental in television. It will encourage pluralism, provide a favoured place for the untried and encourage innovation in style content perspective and talent on and off screen…
But who are their audience? Well, it’s not the below-middle classes of Blackpool.
In order to view and enjoy this feat one must acquire the 3d goggles. They’re free!
“Great, where do I get ‘em?”… Sainsbury’s.
Not so great. There is no Sainsbury’s in Blackpool. The nearest outlet is Bispham, or St Annes. Both very middle class areas – well, there’s a surprise.
Anyhoo, I went to both branches to no avail. And the staff seemed very put out by my request.
Fuck sainsbury’s. And, fuck Channel 4, well, sort of.
