Transpotting photographer sparks terror alert, report claims
Amateur Photographer (AP) is investigating a report that police in Wales stopped a trainspotter after a mission to take pictures of ‘some interesting engines’.
Stephen White was pulled over by a police officer, ‘blue lights flashing’, after he was spotted on CCTV taking the photos, unaware the engines were connected to an oil depot, according to the Daily Mail.
Police told the paper that White had been stopped because he had been seen acting suspiciously near the oil refinery at Milford Haven.
Dyfed Powys Police were not immediately available for comment when AP lodged a call this afternoon.
White, who was on a camping holiday, told the newspaper: ‘It’s just an innocent photo which you could find on Google Earth anyway.’
